What is Politics?

Politics is a big word for a simple idea: it is how people make decisions together.
In our classroom, at home, or in our town, people have different ideas. Politics helps us decide which ideas to follow so everyone can live and work together happily. One way we do this is by having leaders and by voting.


Activity 1: The Playground Choice (Analyze)

Imagine your class is going to the playground. There are two ways to pick what game to play. Look at the two choices below and think about them.
Choice A: The teacher picks the game for everyone. Choice B: Every student votes, and the game with the most votes wins.
Task: Which choice do you think is better for the whole class? Why do you think that? Write or draw your answer below.
